Studies show meaningful activity, engagement in one’s environment, continued opportunities to learn and use skills, socialisation, creative expression, and music are far more effective then pharmaceuticals for people living with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.

- Wednesday 3 and 17 October: Spa mornings are scheduled from 11am - 1pm at WindReach. Please contact Jane (M: 534-5263) and/or Laura (M:707-1972) for appointments.
- Sunday 14 October: Family Support Meeting at the Charity Office, 16 Burnaby Street. Join Marie and members of the AAD Board from 4:30pm.
- Friday 19 October: RUM TASTING EVENING AT BERMUDA AQUARIUM. Join us for a Rum Tasting extraordinary! Tasting 5 special and new rums from Barcadi's select range, enjoy cocktails, wine and canapés from 6:00pm to 8:30pm in the Aquarium Hall. Tickets $75. All proceeds go towards AAD's programs. - Monday 22 October and Thursday 25 October: Due to the school half-term our Monday and Thursday community group will meet at Christchurch in Warwick not Peace Lutheran Hall.
NEW ACTIVITY AT WINDREACH - KINDERMUSIK WindReach are offering Kindermusik once a month with upcoming sessions on the following dates: Monday October 15, Monday November 19 and Monday December 10.
