Studies show meaningful activity, engagement in one’s environment, continued opportunities to learn and use skills, socialisation, creative expression, and music are far more effective then pharmaceuticals for people living with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
Our monthly classes will continue this month via Zoom. Seated Chair Exercises with Frances on Tuesdays at *NEW TIME* 2pm - 2:45pm.
Please note: Tony is away October from 11th and his regular classes will resume on October 28th. In his place, Bermudian-Canadian certified music therapist and neurologic music therapist Hayley Francis Cann, will run two special music classes on Monday the 11th and 25th.
Don't forget our postponed Dementia Awareness Week films will take place this month at BUEI (Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute). The award-winning film ‘The Father’ featuring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Coleman will be shown on Tuesday, October 19th and Elizabeth is Missing will be shown on Wednesday, October 20th. As numbers are limited to 50 people, there will be two sittings (for both films); one at 5:30pm and another at 8pm. The films are FREE to watch!
