Studies show meaningful activity, engagement in one’s environment, continued opportunities to learn and use skills, socialisation, creative expression, and music are far more effective then pharmaceuticals for people living with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
In MARCH our Monday and Thursday groups will be held at Peace Lutheran Church Hall with the exception of Monday 30 when we meet at West Hall, Christchurch in Warwick due to school camps.
SATURDAY 14 MARCH: The AAD Family & Caregiver Support Group meeting will be held at Markel House, Front Street from 4:00pm with Liz Stewart and members of the AAD Board. Please note the switch from a Sunday to a Saturday meeting this month.
