Studies show meaningful activity, engagement in one’s environment, continued opportunities to learn and use skills, socialisation, creative expression, and music are far more effective then pharmaceuticals for people living with Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
- Monday and Thursday activities in July will be held at Christchurch, Warwick not Peace Lutheran Hall. Paul is away throughout July so his movement session on Monday will be replaced with Arts & Crafts with Jane. Tony will play as usual from 11am - 12 noon.
- Sunday 15 July: Family Support Meeting at the Charity Office, 16 Burnaby Street from 4:30pm.
- Wednesday 18 and 25 July: Spa mornings are scheduled from 11am - 1pm at WindReach. Please contact Jane (M: 534-5263) and/or Laura (M:707-1972) for appointments.
- WINDREACH - New Activities: From Tuesday 10 July WindReach is offering an 'Animal Interaction' morning (10:30am - 12 Noon). Spend time grooming the ponies, feeding them treats and enjoy a cool drink. Cost is $10 per session, and please confirm attendance to email@example.com
